Spain ran away with the world Cup trophy like cheese wielding batmans, nuff said.
Anyways, match statistics is shit, I got my own (sort of) statistic that works (following based on the recent 3 WC):
I supported two teams. One from each half of the tournament, hoping to see both of them meeting in the finals. One is always Germany. One will only enter the finals. And NO one won the WC, cause GER always lose to the eventual champions, and the eventual champions will win the finals, thank you Captain Obvious.
On the bright side, Germany proves to be a consistent challenger for the tournament, although they have a budding young squad, looking forward to own the trophy in the near future.
All thanks to Mueller, Ozil, Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Neuer for filling up Kahn and Lehmann's big shoes, and the rest of the GER team. Congratz to Joachim Loew.
Side note: You might see Uruguay, Spain and Netherlands in the semi finals now, but I bet they won't appear in this stage of the tourney again in Brazil. For sure.
